Collin Appraisal District’s COVID-19 Procedures

  • Collin has eluded to delaying sending out notices but have not formally declared they will be delayed on their website.
  • If notices are sent out after April 15th, the deadline to file an appeal will be 30 days from the date the notice was mailed. (i.e. if notices are sent out on May 1st, the deadline to file an appeal will be May 31st at midnight).
  • UPDATE APRIL 14th: Collin has said they plan to mail notices out on May 15th, making the deadline to file an appeal June 15th at midnight.
  • UPDATE ARPIL 14th: Collin will not hold any informal in person meetings this year. They are encouraging everyone to work appeals through their online appeal accounts.
  • UPDATE APRIL 14th: Collin has said that preliminary ARB hearings will begin around July 6th. Normally hearings would begin in late April. There is no information yet about how Collin Plans to handle ARB hearings.

  • Collin CAD’s office are currently closed to the public and everything is being handled by email. There is no set date they to reopen.
